Holliday - At his home southeast of Severy, at 3 p.m., Tuesday Oct. 5, 1909, David Howard Holliday, aged 61 years. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Rhodes at the M.E. church Tuesday afternoon. Interment in Twin Groves cemetery.

Obituary.

David Howard Holliday was born in Jasonville, Ind., October 5, 1848, and died at his home nine miles southeast of Severy, October 5, 1909. He came to Kansas in 1881 and has made his home near Severy ever since that time. He was a member of the United Brethren church eighteen years and his life was such that he had no fear of death, but had stated he was ready to go. He was of a cheerful disposition and bore his suffering with much patience. He was married to Mrs. L.L. Butterfield in 1906, and leaves his wife, three children, two brothers and three sisters. All were present except a daughter, Mrs. Frances Branch,of Wichita; a sister, Mrs. Agnes Edmondson, of Jasonville, Ind., and a brother, William Holliday of Worthington, Ind.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. G.J. Rhodes, of the M.E. Church at Severy, and the remains were interred in Twin Groves cemetery.
