HAMPTON - Laura Elizabeth Schimmelpfennig passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 with her husband of 72 years, Albert H. Schimmelpfennig Jr. by her side. She was born in Canadian, Oklahoma on July 13, 1924 to the late Joseph and Alice Dudark. Along with her husband, Laura is survived by her three sons, Joseph (Kathleen) of Brooklyn, Albert J. (Carol) of Brooklyn and John (Wanda) of Hampton. She leaves four grandchildren, Geoffrey Schimmelpfennig, Brandie Schimmelpfennig, Heidi Schimmelpfennig and Kellie Schimmelpfennig and two step-grandchildren, Shawn Below and Christopher Willard and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Ora Mae Howard of Norman, OK, Betty Woods of Cherokee, OK, sister-in-law Elsie Bruno of Weeki Wachee, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. Laura was predeceased by brothers Claude, Troy, Bobbie and sisters Grace, Josie and Anna. Laura's life was devoted to both her Connecticut and Oklahoma families and especially her husband, sons and grandchildren.
