Mr. Phillip Bennett Leslie, 63, of Monroeville, PA, formerly of Dunn, NC, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at his residence.

The Harnett County native was the son of Marie Bennett Leslie and the late O. M. "Joe" Leslie.

Mr. Leslie was a graduate of Dunn High School Class of 1959, and NC State University. He was a member of the legal department of VIACOM in Pittsburgh, PA.

Local funeral service will be conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Divine Street United Methodist Church, with Rev. Donald Sealey and Rev. George Williford officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Blackwell of the home; daughters, Meredith L. Malisher and husband, Tom of Wilmington, NC, and Sarah Leslie of the home; sons, Capt. Jonathan B. Leslie of the US Air Force, and Matthew Leslie of Atlanta, GA; his mother, Marie B. Leslie of Dunn; a sister, Marie Cameron and husband, Doug of Clayton; four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. Monday at Divine Street United Methodist Church.
