Clifton K. Beheler

Clifton Keith Beheler, 68, of South Charleston, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 at his home after a long illness.

He was born Aug. 31, 1946 in Scott Depot and was the son of Freda Drennen and stepson of the late Earl Eugene Drennen. Cliff graduated from Winfield High School in 1966, and later served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969.

He is survived by mother, Freda Drennen; son and daughter in-law, Greg Beheler and his wife, Marissa, of South Charleston; daughter, Betsy Primeaux of Lafayette, La.; and three granddaughters, Payton Beheler, Blair Boutte and Gabby Gallardo. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Lucy Hamilton of Lafayette, La.

During his life, Cliff was a machinist and later owned a small business repairing and restoring furniture. He was a great wood craftsman and had recently refinished a project for his church. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking/building, the outdoors and taking care of his beloved dog, Lola.

Later in life, Cliff accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and became a member of South Charleston First Church of the Nazarene. Cliff loved his church and its people and was an active participant in his Sunday school class.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Benevolence Fund at South Charleston First Church of the Nazarene.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at South Charleston First Church of the Nazarene, 4923 Kentucky St., South Charleston, WV 25309. The family will receive friends beginning at 4:30 p.m. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kent Estep with special music by Pastor Kyle Stotts.
