Kateriana “Tina” Marie Monticello, 65, of Lake Charles died at 11:25 PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Monticello was born on November 11, 1949 and resided in Lake Charles all of her life. She was a 1968 graduate of LaGrange High School. Mrs. Monticello worked at the Nelson Road Wal-Mart for the past 20 years until her health would not allow her to work any longer.

She adored her kids and grandkids and enjoyed spending quality time with them. Mrs. Monticello spent her spare time quilting and sewing.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 47 years; three children; six siblings; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cullen LeJeune and Mary Benoit; three brothers, Jeffrey, Johnny, and Bryan Keith LeJeune; brother-in-law, Sammy A. Monticello; father-in-law, Angelo J. Monticello; and mother-in-law, Winnie E. Monticello.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 9, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Daniel Torres will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will resume on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the services.
