Kiel relatives received the news on Monday of the death of Carl G. Voland, who passed away at his home in Milwaukee at the age of 77 years, after a prolonged illness, due to the infirmities of old age.
Mr. Voland was a native of Germany, and resided at Rockville for many years, where he plied his vocation as shoemaker. He held the office of town treasurer for a number of years. About seven years ago he moved to Milwaukee to make his home.
He is survived by one son, Philip, a prominent furniture dealer of Milwaukee and six daughters.
The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon with interment in Valhalla cemetery.
