Randall J. Schmitz, age 55, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at his residence.

Randy was born on October 13, 1959 in Manitowoc to Elmer and Audrey Schmitz. On September 26, 1987, Randy married JoLynn. He spent his entire working career at Ebert's Antiques in Manitowoc. Randy was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include Randy's wife of 27 years: JoLynn; son: Hunter Schmitz; daughter: Rikki Schmitz; parents: Elmer and Audrey Schmitz; one brother; two sisters; also other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3209 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc. Rev. Stephen Melso will officiate with burial of Randy's cremated remains taking place at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. The will be no visitation prior to, or following the memorial service.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family would request any memorials to be sent to Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc or Holy Family Memorial Cancer Center.

Randy's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Rev. Stephen Melso and Rev. Robert Kujawski for their prayers and visits, and also to Dr. Lynn Batz and all the staff of Holy Family Memorial Cancer Center for the care and compassion they provided.
