Mrs. Anna Catherine Tenney, age 73, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at her residence. Mrs. Tenney was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church.

Mrs. Tenney was preceded in death by her parents, James Rudolph and Mary Catherine Hardesty; her husband, Sterling J. Tenney; and her son, Terry Tenney. She is survived by two children, Kathy Tenney Ryan and James David Tenney, both of Philadelphia, PA; her grandson, Christopher Sean Ryan, Philadelphia, PA; a special sister, Mildred (Marvin) Mattingly, Brandenburg, KY; several other brothers and sisters; her special friend, Louis Whelan, Brandenburg, KY; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, with Rev. Kevin Bryan, officiating. Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 4-8 PM on Friday and after 9:00 AM on Saturday. Vigil Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
