PYLE - Allison Jo Pyle, age 7, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, December 26, 2011.
Waiting for her in heaven are Grandma Helen Boss, Grandpa Gerald Pyle, and cousin, Kyle Boss.

If you were unfortunate to have not met Allison, you missed out on a fun, loveable, princess cowgirl with sparkling eyes. Allison loved wearing dresses and playing outdoors. She loved animals, especially horses, and was always ready to saddle up. Allison had an endless supply of hugs, and was always willing to give one out, even if she had just met you. Her warm smile was contagious, and her fun, caring love was wonderful. She was an exceptional card player, and enjoyed beating all those willing to test themselves against her. She never missed an opportunity to try and change the rules in the middle of the game if she thought she could get away with it. Allison liked to laugh, and was more than willing to help out with any practical joke. She made a horrible accomplice, though, and would always be quick to throw her cohorts under the bus to keep herself out of trouble.
Allison was born a star. She entered the world weighing 11 lbs., 6 oz. and was 23 in long. The chart at the doctor's office estimated she would reach a final height of over 6 ft. 4 in. tall: her destiny was to be a volleyball player, but Allison's goal was just to be taller than her Dad.
Everyone had a special connection with Allison: Grandpa Tom Boss, they loved to eat a donut and watch Looney Tunes cartoons after school. Grandma Mary Jane Pyle (MeMa), they loved to play cards and do puzzles together. Allison was always willing to go to Shelly Degeer's house and get into trouble there, especially since it was encouraged, well, at least not discouraged. Allison enjoyed playing with her cousins, Lena Thompson, Jessica Thompson, Andria Boss and her best bud, Alex Boss. Her best friends at school were Sofia Mulholland, Zachary Princer, and Kayla Hearth. Rumor has it Allison and Zachary were secretly engaged, and they planned on going to Hawaii for their honeymoon. They planned on bringing Mom along because according to Allison, "Someone has to drive." Allison loved the school staff at Mac Naughton Elementary, especially her Teacher, Mrs. Rachel VanDyke. Allison loved to show off her horse, Miss Chiquita, and her bunny, Mocha. Allison and Chiquita loved to trail ride around Indian Lake and stop by her Grandpa Boss's house afterward for that always available donut. She was excited and looked forward to showing her horse again at the Montcalm County 4H Fair this coming year. Allison loved fishing and would spend hours on the dock at Grandpa Boss' house. She would bait her own hooks, and take her own fish off unless they were too big or had swallowed the hook. When she would run out of bait, she had no problem catching more on her own, such as worms, frogs or even a snake. She once caught a 23 inch largemouth bass on a garter snake she had found. Allison continually impressed the doctors and nurses at The Helen Devos Children's Hospital and was always happy to see Dr. James Fahner.
At 3 1/2 years of age, Allison was diagnosed with a rare cancer (undifferentiated renal cell carcinoma, stage 4). Throughout her treatments, she continued to set the bar higher for dealing with her cancer, making it much longer than anyone thought possible. She was proud to show off her scars from her surgeries: she called them her "shark bites". Allison proved again and again that a girl can fight long and hard. She showed the doctors that even when she had lung surgery on a Monday, she was back riding a horse at the Annual Fall Campout on Friday of that same week. Allison epitomized the saying, "It's not the years in the life, it's the life in the years."
Allison is loved and will be missed by her parents, Joann and David; her sister, Zoe, and all of her family and friends. We would like to thank everyone who has been a part of our lives during this difficult time. We thank you for all the love, support and prayers you have given our family during her long battle with cancer. Words can not express the love we and others have for Allison. Please honor her by wearing her favorite colors pink and purple as a tribute for a pretty princess who loved being a cowgirl. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to purchase horse stalls at the Montcalm County 4-H Fairgrounds to honor Allison's love of horses. Donations can be dropped off at Independent Bank for "The Allison Pyle Memorial Fund".
