Fay Mayberry Service Feb. 28

Fay Keith Mayberry, 49, of Randolph, Iowa, departed this life Sunday morning, Febr. 25, 1979, at his home following a fatal heart attack. He was born July 24, 1929 near Silver City, Iowa, the son of Joe and Mildred Hunt Mayberry.
Fay attended the country school near his home and graduated from high school at Macedonia, Iowa in 1947.

On November 13, 1955, he was united in marriage to Betty Weak at Red Oak. Three children were born to their marriage.

They began farming north of Malvern following their marriage, later moving near Randolph in 1960. Fay continued farming though they moved into their present home in Randolph in 1977.

He leaves as his survivors his wife, Betty; one daughter Melanie Ann who is attending college at Maryville, Mo., one son, Ken Alan at home; his mother Mrs. Mildred Mayberry of Sidney, and two brothers, Wilber of Oakland and Neil of Sterling Heights, Mich. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Merri, December 1, 1964, and his father in 1977.

Funeral services were conducted from the Raynor, Lett, and Kent Funeral Home in Glenwood on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 1979, at 11 a.m., the Rev. Charles E. Cowell, Jr. officiant.

Organ music was provided by Mrs. David Aistrope, and Mrs. Dale Alexander presided at the registry book. Casket bearers were David Aistrope, Dale Alexander, Willard Badji, Kenneth Hunt, Robert Mayberry, and Neal Trammer.
Internment was in the Malvern cemetery.
