Son of Rev. Robert Hunt of Liberty, NY, and Eunice Babcock Hunt.

Eugene Hunt of the well-known orange and produce firm of Hardee, McFarland and Hunt, who was seriously injured in a collision by his motorcycle with an automobile near Fort Lauderdale, died as a result of his injuries at the Brevard Hotel, Fort Lauderdale, early in the present week. On Wednesday he was buried at Minneola, Lake County, his former home. Mr. Hunt spent a large part of his time during the past winter in Crescent City, where his firm early in the year purchased a large orange packing house and where he superintended the consignment of a large part of the citrus crop of that section. Mr. Hunt was held in high esteem and his methods of business made a strong appeal to the growers. His home for the past seven years has been at Orlando. Mr. Hunt was about forty-eight years of age and came to Florida from New York some twenty-five or thirty years ago. Besides his wife, who was with him when death came, he leaves two sons, John and Bruce Hunt, the former following the vocation of his father, while the latter is a student in the State university at Gainesville.
