Beloved wife of Richard Arthur Weiss and mother of Judith Laurene Weiss Rea. Virginia and her parents, Ray and Margaret Wasey, and her siblings, Harold, Eileen, and Donald, attended Berkley Community Church, under the ministry of Pastor Orin Vanloon. During the 1947-8 school year she attended Northwestern Bible and Missionary Training School in downtown Minnespolis, Minnesota, under Dr. W. B. Riley. Because of a heart condition Virginia was not able to return to college. Dick and Ginny met in 1949 as they both served in music with Detroit, Michigan's Voice of Christian Youth. After a few months of dating they were married October 28, 1949. Dick was an engineer with Ford Motor Company. Dick and Virginia made friends through VCY and Northwestern with whom they enjoyed cordial fellowship for the rest of their lives. They continued their music ministry as Virginia played the piano and organ and Dick sang and played his saxophone. Ginny was the faithful organist at Inter-City Baptist Church from 1963 until 1984, where they enjoyed the pulpit ministry of Dr. William R. Rice.
