Amanda “Mandy” Irene Sapp, 96 of Chipley, FL went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2015 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital.

Mandy was born in Dale County, Alabama on October 11, 1918 to Henry Bradley and Melissa Odom. She was a lifelong resident of the panhandle and a member of Cypress Creek Church. She will be remembered as the Matriarch of her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Claude Brown Sapp Sr.; parents: Henry and Melissa Bradley; three sons: C.B. Sapp, John Sapp, Donald Sapp; six brothers: Jesse Bradley, Sam Bradley, Lewis Bradley, Calvin Bradley, James Bradley, Bill Bradley; four sisters: Sally Bradley, Lena Coley, Ida Daniels, Lela Sawyer.

She is survived by her two sons: Wallace Sapp and wife Edna of Cottondale, FL, Jerry Sapp and wife Pauline of Pensacola, FL; three daughters: Betty Carroll and husband Billy of Defuniak Springs, FL, Nellie Brese and husband Larry of Chipley, FL, Catherine Pippin and husband Raymond of Chipley, FL; brother: Auburn Bradley of Malvern, AL; thirty-four grandchildren; seventy-six great grandchildren; forty great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11a.m. Monday, January 12, 2015 at New Life Fellowship with Bro. Cloys Joiner officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Free Will Baptist Church cemetery. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley directing.

Asked to serve as pallbearers: Cary Sapp, Keith Sapp, Tim Sapp, Newton Rudd, Robert Sanders, Adam Sapp, Dennis Rudd.
