Louida LaRue Abney, a homemaker, died Saturday at Slidell Memorial Hospital. She was 79. Mrs. Abney was born in Banner Springs, Tenn., and lived in Slidell for the past 58 years. She was a member of Harvest Church. Survivors include three sons, Lincoln M., Frank L. and Thomas S. Abney Sr.; a daughter, Judith Eileen Abney Fitzwilson; two brothers, Rily and Kermit LaRue; two sisters, Lucille Tinch and Velma Rolle; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Schoen Funeral Home, 3808 Pontchartrain Drive, Slidell. Visitation will begin today at 6 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
