Charles Wesley "Wes" Herman is the son of William Herman and Elizabeth Sheffer.
Charles married the widow Rebecca "Grace" Ferguson Wilcox in 1866. They had 4 children: Victor Willis, Willard Orton, Franklin Irvin, and Iva Pearl. Rebecca was first married to Mortimer Wilcox and they had 3 children: Charles Wesley (he IS a Wilcox, the name being the same as his step-father is a coincidence), Edgar, and Hattie L.
They moved to Nebraska with at least the 4 youngest children between 1880 and 1885 and lived there until their deaths.
