Joseph was a native of Carroll County, Arkansas and came to the Bristow area about 1924. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. He was blind at his time of death and had been for several years.
Joseph died Sunday 14 December, 1964. Funeral services were held 16 December 1964 at 2 pm at the Free Will Baptist Church of Bristow. He is buried in the New Tuskegee Cemetery in Creek County, Oklahoma where some of his children also are buried.
