Visiting will be at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, 3 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Notre Dame Church, 359 Central Avenue, North Caldwell, on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair.
Blanche was born in Pine Plains, NY on Jan. 16, 1920, daughter of Fred and Grace Colwell. She graduated from High School and moved to New Jersey for employment with Prudential Insurance, Co. of Newark. She married John Lamb of Montclair in July, 1943. Blanche lived in Montclair raising five children. She moved to Roseland in 1969 where she resided until 2007.
She was active in golf and bowling, both at Glen Ridge Country Club and Essex Fells Country Club. Blanche was an accomplished handicraft person, donating homemade dolls and doll houses to the Roseland Senior Citizens. She was named Roseland Senior Citizen of the Year.
Blanche was pre-deceased by her husband John (Jack) in 1990. She is survived by her children, John (Jack) and his wife, Lee, of North Caldwell; Patricia (Patty) and her husband, Sherman, of East Brunswick; Eileen and her husband, Steve, of Costa Mesa, CA; Karen and her husband, Larry, of Plano, TX, and Deborah (Debbie) and her husband, Gene, of West Simsbury, CT. In addition she leaves behind her beloved twelve grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
