Arlene L. Abernathy, 90, of Batesville, formerly of Memphis, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003.
Born April 9, 1913, in Lauderdale County, she was the daughter of James and Cara Langley.
Survivors include four sons, Jim Abernathy of Paris, Tenn., Barry Abernathy of Indianapolis, Ind., Wallace Abernathy of Batesville and Wayne Abernathy of Memphis; a brother, Rudolph Langley of Cordova, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James D. Abernathy; three sisters; and four brothers.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Forest Hill East Funeral Home in Memphis.
