Marion Ann Petry, 78, passed away on January 8 2015. She was a lifelong resident of Colorado.
Marion was born on March 21 1936 to John Jr and Helen (Olear) Murin in Colorado Springs, CO. She was a straight A student and Valedictorian of Calhan High School class of 1954. On July 11 1959, Marion married Mr Thomas A Petry in Calhan, CO at St Michael Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom; and nephew Patrick Pennington. She was survived by her sister, Joan (Roger) Pennington; nephews, Mike (Denise) Pennington and family, John (Ann) Pennington and family, Mark (Naomi) Pennington and family, Paul (Sharon) Pennington; aunts, cousins and many friends.
Marion was a homemaker, sales clerk and volunteer. She was faithful to her profession as a third order Secular Franciscan for 36 years and a member of St Mary's Cathedral.
Marion enjoyed sharing her faith in various church ministries, watching EWTN TV programs, and the many vacations and camping trips with her husband.
She will always be loved and missed.
Visitation began at 1:00pm, Rosary at 1:30pm, Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00pm at St Mary's Cathedral on Monday, January 12 2015. Burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs, CO.
In lieu of flowers, memorials were made to St Mary's Cathedral in Colorado Springs, CO.
