Services for Birdie E. Duke were conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Burneyville Baptist Church. Officiating was Rev. Bruce Hill.
Mrs. Duke was born October 31, 1909, in Guymon and died February 12, 1993, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta, at the age of 83. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert V. McCants.
A resident of Burneyville for five years, she moved to Love County from Wapanucka. Mrs. Duke was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Wapanucka. She was married to William Kenneth Duke.
Survivors include two sons, Bert Duke of Burneyville and W. K. Duke of Galloway, Ohio; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Duke was preceded in death by her husband in June 1978; two brothers; a sister; and two grandchildren.
Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Wapanucka, under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were Tommy Hartman, Joel Hicks, W. A. McKnight, Sam Hoggard, Rick Munhart, and John Cartwright.
