Richard M. Nowell, 76, of Paris died at 2:18 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 1998 at McCuistion Regional Medical Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Starnes officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. Monday.
He was born Nov. 27, 1921, in Mud Sands, OK, to John William and Sarah Elizabeth Archey Nowell.
He was a graduate of Soper, OK schools and was a Methodist. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Albuquerque, NM Masonic Lodge and a retired accountant for the U.S. government.
He married Ruth Albion Nov. 27, 1958, in Albuquerque.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Richard Nowell Jr. of Atlanta, GA; and a brother, Jess Nowell of Albuquerque.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Nowell, and a sister, Bess Nowell.
