Art was born Feb. 11, 1919, in Peoria, Ill., the son of Arthur and Marie (Naylor) Harker Sr. He married Betty L. Wilson on March 14, 1942, in Peoria. Betty died Jan. 10, 2011.
Art worked 10 years for Metropolitan Life Insurance of Peoria. In 1948, he went to work for General Foods Corporation and was transferred to the Quad Cities as an area manager. He retired on March 1, 1978.
He and his wife moved to Fort Collins, Colo., and lived there for several years.
Survivors include his children, Suzanne (Don) Turner of Fort Collins, Colo., and Sally (Richard) Abraham of East Moline.
He was preceded in death by his wife; and sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Dale Butler.
Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria, Ill.
