"Flintville" column, The Fayetteville Observer:
Rev. M. P. Wood of Fayetteville was called to Flintville last week to preach the funeral of Mrs. T. G. Hester, who died on Monday, April 25th, after a lingering illness of several weeks. She lived and died believing in a practical religion that could be applied to every day life, and those who know her daily walk know that she was a consecrated Christian. The large crowd who attended the funeral is sufficient evidence that she bore the friendship of all who knew her. A host of friends join us in sympathy for the bereaved family.
Mrs. John Russell, of Petersburg, was here the past week attending the funeral of her sister, Mrs. T. G. Hester.
