Oh, where to start with our dear little wump....when Kermit( find a grave memorial #120448529) and I had been together a few months, we moved into a little trailer in the south valley of Albuquerque, and he was putting in the stove and said "it's kittywumpus!"
I, having never heard that expression said o, we GOTTA get a cat and name it that.....the very next day we went to the reservation for cigarettes, in the pouring rain, and out from under a car comes this little black kitty. I said, 'are you kitty wumpus?' and he meowed much louder than he had a right, (he was the size of my fist!!)
I picked him up, and a guy comes out of the store and says 'you can have that kitty if you want it, it almost got run over twice already!'....so, we walk in the store, and the lady behind the counter repeats what the guy had said almost word for word, and boom! we had a kittywumpus.
He lived with us and traveled with us all over America, and after Kermit died I kept him close to me till he had to be put to sleep because of a kidney tumor. What a horrible day that was, and another piece of Kermit gone...he was cremated and I mixed his ashes with Kermits. Miss ya wump.
