A funeral service for Eleanor “Dolly” Adzic, 82, of Newark was held February 6, 2013 at Brucker-Kishler Funeral Home.
Mrs. Adzic passed away on February 2, 2013 at the Sterling House in Newark. She was born on January 3, 1931 to the late Jacob and Grace (Copper) Walker in Newark, Ohio.
Mrs. Adzic retired from Owens Corning as a Secretary.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Owen of Newark; sons, Mike (Bev) Adzic of Newark and Gary (Jan) Adzic of Utica; seven grandchildren, Mike Marmie, Jolyn (Ryan) Carpenter, Ashley Adzic, Audrey Adzic, Eric Adzic, Brooke Adzic and Brittany Adzic; great-grandchildren, Addison Adzic, Griffin Reed, Grady Reed and Macy Collins; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Denny Wheeler; special niece and nephew, Penny and John Murphy of Newark; nieces, Tabitha McQuade of NY and Lauri Martin of WV; special cousin, Mary Lou Heatwole; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Adzic, who passed away April 30, 2006; and nephew, Ram Wheeler.
