She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Nichols, (Ret.), Captain U.S. Army, and son, Glenn R. Nichols. Betty is survived by her daughter, Dianne N. Leach; sons, Robert E. Nichols and Kevin L. Nichols; grandchildren, Ian and Josh Ennis, Adam, Alexandra, Shawn, Jordan, Glenn, Alan, Jesse, and Casey Nichols; and five great-grandchildren.
A Celebration Service to honor the life of Betty Nichols was held, Sunday, January 18, 2015 at 5:00 P.M. at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Rev. John Sewak Ray officiating. The family received friends Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Interment was on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, S.C. Betty's casket is buried with the cremains of her husband Robert Nichols.
In lie of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America and or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
