Violet Bohannon, 101, formerly of Crossville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, at The Village at Rockville in Rockville, MD.
She was born May 20, 1914, in Crossville, daughter of the late Steve Edmonds and Tiney Evaline (Akin) Edmonds, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sons, David Bohannon of Virginia, Richard Bohannon of Bethlehem, PA, and Kenneth Bohannon of Maine.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
her husband, Lewis Bohannon; sisters, Lula Edmonds, Lilly Edmonds, Lennis Edmonds and Florence Edmonds; and brothers, Clarence Edmonds, Ernest Edmonds, Everett Edmonds and Avon Edmonds.
Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, at 1 p.m. with Bro. David Bohannon officiating. Interment was in Eastland Cemetery.
