This week a burial was made at Riverside Cemetery of an aged and
esteemed colored woman. Mrs. Mary Vanderzee, who for many years lived in
New Baltimore village, but recently with her son's family at Coeymans.
Her age is given as 105 years.
Mary's death was reported by Mary Jane Vanderzee, daughter of Peter
Vanderzee and Julia Ann Vanbergen and the granddaughter of Mary.
Although Mary was born in New Baltimore and worked and died in this town,
her body was taken to Coxsackie and interred in the Riverside Cemetery in
the Vanderzee family lot.
