She resided most of her adult life in Stephens County Oklahoma where she raised her family. She was the step-mother of Myrtle Agatha Carroll Powell and mother of Miriam Beatrix (Trixie), William Everett (Jack), Orian Taft (O.T.) and Elmo Dean Carroll.
