Mr. Jimmie Lee (Pete) Adams, age 78 of Brodhead, KY., husband of Willene, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born on March 27, 1936 in Crab Orchard, KY., a son of the late Robert and Hazel Wilson Adams. He was a member of Hickory Grove Holiness Church. He was a 15 year employee with Randall-Davis Blacktopping Co. He found great joy in storytelling, going to church and being an outdoorsman. On July 13, 1968 he was united in holy matrimony to Willene Woodall .
Those left to celebrate his life is wife: Willene Woodall Adams of Brodhead, KY. His children: Billy Joe Shafer of Brodhead, KY; Mickey (Rita) Shafer of Brodhead, KY.; Roger Shafer of Brodhead, KY; Kathy(Larry) Bingham of Brodhead, KY.; and Deana Michelle Adams of Brodhead, KY. Seven granchildren; Fifteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother: Earl Adams of Lincoln County, KY; sister: Jeannete (Kenny) Seagrove of Crab Orchard, KY. As well as a host of nieces/nepews, friends and neighbors.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson: Jason Thomas; brothers: Jesse & Bud Adams; sister: Everee Shelton.
Visitation for Mr. Jimmie Lee Adams will be Monday, January 19, 2015 from 6-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals and Tues. January 20, 2015 from 10AM-1PM at Hickory Grove Pentecostal Church.
Funeral services will be conducted Tues. January 20, 2015 at Hickory Grove Pentecostal Church with Bro. Randal Adams officiating; burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery, Brodhead, KY.
