1985 May 29 - Cadillac - John Henry Castle was born Wednesday 11 Oct 1908 in Yuma to John Monroe & Rose (Robinson) Castle. He married Anna M Keelean Saturday 04 Nov 1933 in Goshen, Indiana. He served in the US Navy. He retired in 1971 after 21 years at Tri-County Electric in Remus.

John Henry Castle died Wednesday 29 May 1983 at the age of 76 y 7 m 18 d at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac from Cardiac Arrest. Survivors included his wife, Anna; 3 brothers, Archie Castle of Boon, Bruce Castle of Maple City, and Stanley Castle of St Cloud, Florida; 1 sister, Marguerite Maynard of Newaygo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John 24 Sep 1933 & Rose 13 Oct 1930.

Funeral services were 1 pm Saturday 01 Jun 1985 at Mesick United Methodist Church with Rev Bruce Prestwood-Taylor officiating.

Burial was in Plot A-144 in Sherman-Mesick Memorial Cemetery in Mesick. The plot was owned by John Amos Castle.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Nienhaus Funeral Home of Cadillac.
