∼DEATH OF AN AGED WOMAN
Miss C. DeGRAFF, a highly respected lady 60 years of age, died last night, at 10 o'clock, from stomach trouble.
(Published in The Ogden Standard (Ogden, UT), Monday, April 27, 1903.)∼She and her husband, Hendrick (Henry) Gerardus DeGRAFF came to Utah in 1866 with their two children, Antoinette Anna DeGRAFF and Herman DeGRAFF in the John D. Holladay pioneer company. They settled in Mount Pleasant. Hendrick missed his boat and the green of Holland and moved back where he died in 1892 in Dordrecht, Zuid Holland (South Holland) Netherlands. " Anna had faith as solid as Gibralter, courage and keen vision. Her lot had been cast. Hell and high water couldn't change her convictions. She died in Mount Pleasant. At her funeral Peter Monsen and C.N. Land spoke and a music teacher, Fritz Christofferson , sang "Oh, My Father." ( Frank O. Jones)
