at the Veterans Hospital, Tomah, Wis.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Pfeffer Funeral
Home and at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
The Rev. James DeWitt will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery,
Manitowoc. Military graveside services will be conducted by the V.F.W.
Post No. 659.
Mr. DuFano was born May 7, 1894, at Oconto, son of the late Louis
and Katherine Prucha DuFano. He married Mary Cygan April 12,
1937, at Chisholm, Minn. The couple moved to Manitowoc in 1942.
Prior to his illness he had been employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding,
Inc., as a pipefitter. Mr. DuFano was a veteran of World War I,
serving with the U.S. army in the second division. He was also a member
of the VFW Otto Oas Post No. 659.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Casper and Mrs.
Patrick Cavanaugh of Manitowoc, two stepdughters, Mrs. William Goetz,
Jr. of Madison and Mrs. Anthony Kambalek of Waukegan; two brothers,
Louis of Two Rivers and Ralph of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. Arthur
Kirchen of Manitowoc, Mrs. Louis Nelson of Aurora, Ill., and Mrs.
Hennie Benson of Eau Claire, and 11 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday
where a memorial service will be at 8:30 p.m.
