Joseph Vito Barravecchio, “Uncle Vito”,age 72, a Moon Township Pennsylvania resident for the past 30 years, formerly from Warren,Ohio for 16 years and originally from Revere, Massachusetts, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Heritage Valley Hospital in Sewickley Pennsylvania.

He was born in East Boston, MA on April 6, 1942 to the late Vito and Marie Josephine (Tedesco) Barravecchio.

Beloved husband for 49 ½ years to Glenda (Howell) Barravecchio.

Loving father of Anthony Joseph Barravecchio (Caryn) and Michael Vito Barravecchio (Stephanie); Cherished grandfather of 5; brother of Joan Marie Barravecchio.

Joseph was a member of St. Joseph Church. For over 50 years, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree both locally and in Warren, OH where he had been a Program Director and Grand Knight. Joseph's work was building bridges. From 1976-1984, he had worked at Valley Consolidated Industries in Warren, OH. In April 1984 until 1995, he had been employed by Colonial Iron Works in Oakdale and Canonsburg PA. From 1997 until 2009, he was employed by Bridges and Towers, Inc. in New Castle, PA. His notable accomplishments were building the George Washington via Duct, Riverside in NY and the PNC Field Triple A Baseball Stadium of the Scranton/Wilkes Barre Railriders.

Visitation Wednesday 6-9 and Thursday 2-4, 6-9 at Copeland's Moon Township, 981 Brodhead Road where prayers will be recited on Friday at 10:20 AM followed by a Mass at St. Joseph Church Coraopolis PA 11:00 AM. Father Richard Jones officiating.

Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

Family welcomes flowers or donations in his name to the American Heart Association.

Interment:Resurrection Cemetery with military honors.
