Mrs. Chris Alderson who has been such a patient sufferer these past several weeks passed away at her home in this village Thursday morning, December 1. The end was not unexpected, yet, as always, came as a shock. Her entire life was spent within a radius of five miles, so she was very well known and left a host of friends, who extended their deep sympathy to the bereaved family. "To know her was to lover her". The funeral services, held from the M. E. Church Sunday afternoon, were conducted by Rev. G. A. Bird of Fennimore with burial in the Mt. Hope cemetery beside her husband who preceded her in death over three years ago. The large concourse of friends who attended these services, attend to the high esteem in which she was held in the community.
