Funeral services for David C. Butler, who passed away about 1:00 yesterday morning at his (abt. 3 lines not readable) J. W. Brown, pastor of the Methodist church was in charge. Interment will be at Mt. Hope, south of Urbana.
Mr. Butler was born in Sidney township September 21, 1846, on the Butler homestead, a son of Thos. L. and Rebecca Wright Butler. He was 88 years and 18 days of age. Mrs. Butler preceded him in death Oct. 3, 1932.
The following children survive: Oliver A., Homer; Mabel Morgan, Leroy; Ethel Hunter, Gibson City, Jennie Heath, Rockford and Roy Butler, Lebanon, Ind.
Mr. Butler was active in service during the Civil War being in Co. K 133 Ill., Vol. Infantry.
