Vera "Agnes" (Powell) Tackett Nolan, age 90, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Kettering, Oh. She was born on December 2, 1924 to her parents Herman C and Lydia Powell in Beattyville, Ky. She retired from Ohio Bell and returned to Beattyville, Ky., to reside. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Herman Tackett and a son, Stephen Tackett.
She is survived by her husband, Durb Noland and son, Herman (Denise) Tackett of Dayton, Oh., daughter, Teresa of Beattyville, Ky., a sister, Ethel, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 12:00 p.m.(Noon) - 2:00 p.m., 2 hours prior to the funeral service on Thursday, January 22, at the Newnam Funeral Home in Beattyville, Ky., where the funeral service will commence at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Beattyville, Ky.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Adult Ladies of Beattyville Christian Church in Agnes name.
