Harper.Altha at 29, married Ernest Carter Naftzger (34 years of age) on November 21, 1909. The maid of honor at their wedding in Gervais, Oregon was Elizabeth Karn Batt, Ernest's neice. She was a past state president of the United Spanish American War Veterans Auxiliary, a member of the General MacArthur Auxiliary of Nampa, Gold Star Mothers Club of Homedale, Fargo Ladies Club and Iris Temple, No. 40, Daughters of the Nile, Boise, and a devoted member of the Golden Gate Baptist Church at Wilder. Mr. Naftzger preceded her in death in 1961 and a son, Lt. Commander James L. Naftzger in 1953.
