Francisco " Frank " began practicing the violin at the age of 4 and was playing on stage by the age of 8. He came to America in 1959. He was a 1st violinist with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington D. C. in 1961, 1962 and 1963. He played under the music director Howard Mitchell. He was the 3rd cousin of Joseph Szigeti the famous Hungarian violinist. His parents were Francisco Gutay and Maria Baan. He had three children with his first wife Anna Bozak. His second wife is Nita Mullins. Along with his own children, daughter-in-law, beautiful first and only grandchild and granddaughter he has three stepchildren and three stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepgrandson Ronald Jeff Sorrells. He died at home of olivopontocerebellar atrophy with his wife by his side. He was of the Catholic faith and was cremated. He was a kind and loving husband, father and stepfather. He is truly loved and missed by all who knew him.
