Jerrell D. Perkins, 78, went home to be with the Lord on June 23, 2014. Service: 10:00 AM Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Open Door Church, 301 S. Dobson St., Burleson, Texas. Memorials: in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Hospice, 1208 West Henderson St., Ste. B, Cleburne, TX 76033. Jerrell Perkins was born on April 17, 1936, to Wilma James Perkins Bird and Grady Monroe Perkins in Brownfield, Texas. He started a 70 year career in the newspaper business at the age of seven with a paper route for the Standard Times in San Angelo, Texas, and ended his career owning Perkins Printing in Burleson, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma, and father, Grady; sister, Betty Clowdis; brothers, Ferrell Perkins and E.L. (Slick) Perkins; and great-grandchildren, Macey Coffey and Gloria Parks.
