Captain in the New Zealand Rifle Brigade, 3rd Battalion, A Company. He was an officer for 17 years, and had fought in South Africa. He received special training in England, and qualified in the School of Economics. He was a valuable and experienced officer, and highly recommended. Killed in Action at Bapaume, France, aged 37 years. (per contributor #48625620)
