Ermer Gene Boyd of Minor Hill, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at
NHC Healthcare in Pulaski. He was born in Salem, Alabama on October 7, 1923 and was 91 years old.

He loved his family and was an avid farmer, a member of Minor Hill United Methodist Church, and a
Veteran of WW II in the United States Army. Mr. Boyd was business manager at Motlow College in
Tullahoma and was business manager of Martin Methodist College in Pulaski for 16 years.
He was Director of Vocational Education in the Giles County School System, and a member of the Pulaski Masonic Lodge No. 101.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 23rd from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will follow visitation at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Debbie Eubanks officiating.

Burial will take place in the Old Athens City Cemetery, Athens, Alabama followed by a military flag folding.


He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Gene Boyd and parents, Irmer Austin and Beulah Croley Boyd.

He is survived by his,
Wife of 67 years, Chloe Beasley Boyd of Minor Hill
Son, Ronnie (Jola) Boyd of Tullahoma
Sister, Martha Rene Hannah of Pulaski
Sister, Mable (John "Buddy") Merritt of Pulaski
Sister, Mary Elizabeth (Buford) Pollett of Georgia
Grandchildren, Erika and Chloe Boyd of Tullahoma
Several nephews, nieces, and friends also survive.
