SERVICE HELD FOR RESEDAN, BORN IN 1867
Services were held May 29 at Reseda Community Methodist Church chapel for Ernest Albert Allinson, 88, of 7103 Amigo Ave., Reseda, who passed away May 26. Services were provided by Costello Mortuary with Rev. Edward P. Warren officiating. Interment was at Oakwood Memorial Park, Chatsworth.
Mr. Allinson was born in 1867 at Macon, Illinois, the oldest child of Daniel and Mary Jane Allinson. Moving to Spink County in South Dakota at the age of 15, he was married in 1892 to Jennie Myrtle Hoy.
Three children were born the couple, Earl, Jessie and Ralph. The family moved to South Dakota in 1907 where Mrs. Allinson died in 1913. He then married Della Hoy in December 1914. The family moved to Van Nuys in 1928 and to Reseda in 1948.
Survivors are the widow, one brother, H.M. Allinson, a patient at a Temple City sanitarium; a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Gordon of Wolsey, South Dakota; a son, Dr. Earl H. Allinson, Bolaton, Minnesota; three grand-daughters and nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one son, Ralph Allinson.
