Daughter of Fred Alton and Addie Lee Rowell Boatwright, wife of Robert Bryant.

MARION - Mrs. Carolyn Ann B. Bryant, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 22, 2015. Mrs. Bryant was born August 6, 1931 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Fred Boatwright and the late Addie Lee Rowell Martin.

She was a retired nurse. Mrs. Bryant was a member of West Marion Baptist Church, where she was one of the co-founders of the church and a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of the Ladies Prayer Breakfast and the Happy Timers. Mrs. Bryant was also a member of the Disaster Relief Team of the Pee Dee, the Tea Party and the NRA.

Surviving Mrs. Bryant are a son, Donald (Anne) Bryant of Mullins; a daughter, Paula (Wayne) Turner of Florence; stepbrother, Alton Boatwright of Marion; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a special cousin, David Grice of Mullins.

Mrs. Bryant was predeceased by her husband, Bobby Bryant, and a son, Martin Bryant.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of West Marion Baptist Church, with Rev. Joseph Day officiating. Burial will be in Old Zion Methodist Church Cemetery, directed by Smith-Collins Funeral Home of Marion.
