Company A, Threnholm's Squadron, as well as Company B, 7th Regiment of SC. Died in Stewart's Hospital of measles.

In the newspaper article that is attached to his memorial, it states that he died 3 Aug 1864 at the age of 43 years, 5 months, and 20 days. I used a date calculator to determine his birthday. The article was from the Edgefield Advertiser, Wednesday, Oct 12, 1864, page 1.

Admitted 7/4/1864 into Stuart Hospital, Richmond, VA. with rubeola (measles); died there.

The 7th Infantry Regiment was assembled at Columbia, South Carolina, during the spring of 1861.
