Leroy Louis Achee, Sr. joined his Dear Janet in heaven on January 16th, 2015.
He was born July 26, 1930, to Theogene Achee and Adlay Boudreaux Achee on Dr. C.A. Lorio's Ingleside Plantation near Lakeland.

In 1948, he joined the Army and was stationed at Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas, and was trained as an Electrician and a Guided Missile Crewman.

May 31, 1950, he married the light and love of his life, Janet Ruth Glaser, at St. Joseph's in Grosse Tete.

He and Janet returned to Louisiana after his discharge from the Army in 1952.
He was a man who followed his opportunities to take care of his family which led him to a variety of professions, including the oil field, car sales, milkman, and he and Janet owned several businesses, Modern Mobile Service Station, Leroy's American Truck Stop and Leroy's Heating & Refrigeration. But they would be best known as the owners of The Western Auto in Livonia, there are many who will remember his kindness and generosity in their dealings with him. He was a man who had his share of hardships but was not a complainer, he was a doer. He helped his community in many ways by serving on the Livonia Town Council, the Pointe Coupee School Board, Pointe Coupee West Feliciana Bridge, Ferry and Tunnel Authority, the Lottie Livonia Lions Club where he served as president, secretary, treasurer and State Deputy District Governor and the Pointe Coupee Council on Aging.

A long-time parishioner of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, he served on the Parish Council and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He loved fishing with his grandchildren and buddy, Nick Gonzales. He and Janet traveled all over the U.S., Mexico and Europe, often with her brother Hugo and wife Faye Glaser.
Mardi Gras was one of his favorite holidays, hosting many parties at the Western Auto, complete with an authentic Cajun band. His favorite Mardi Gras was in 1987 when he was King with his Queen the late Trudy Blanchard of Livonia's Mardi Gras. But most importantly, he took care of his family. No matter what, sickness, bad times or the good times he loved to be surrounded by them around the pool in the summer and the fireplace for the holidays.
