Pleasant Garden – Mildred M. George, 93, went home to be with her Savior on Thursday, January 22, 2015. A funeral service will be held on Sunday January 25, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Forbis and Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel. Entombment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

She was born in Coalwood, West Virginia to the late Samuel and Ada Arrington. Mildred was a retired employee of Lorillard with 24 years of service and a member of Vandalia Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert George, and her son-in-law David.

She is survived by a son Bob (Cherie) George of Julian, N.C., a daughter Sharon of Greensboro, N.C. a sister Louise (Bernie) Simmons of Greensboro, N.C. six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
