She married my grandfather March 12, 1938 because the Catholic church at that time didn't book weddings during Lent. My grandma married my grandfather October 11th 1938 in a Catholic church. My grandma received an award of Recognition from the Huntington Valley Convalescent hospital for Volunteer Service given with a loving heart. She also received a certificate from the American Cancer Society Inc. for five years of service. She also received a certificate of appriciation from the City of Hope Medical Center of Duarte, CA for the Patient's Library. She completed 226 hours of faithful volunteer service. She was also a member of the Duarte Woman's Club.
