Maxine graduated from Circleville High School in 1960. She was raised in Circleville. She moved to Topeka in 1960 and later to Silver Lake in 1967.
Maxine was a receptionist for Kansas Inspection Bureau for 13 years. Maxine was a homemaker until 1988, while her daughters were young. She later worked for Rockey’s Realty and Rockey’s Tank Lining in Topeka, retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Silver Lake United Methodist Church.
Maxine married Loren G. Goodman on June 5, 1965 in Circleville. He survives of the home. Other survivors include 2 daugthers, Lori VandeVelde (Scott) and Amy Bahner (Derek); 3 sisters, Virginia Farrier, Shirley Shupe (Lester) and Lana McKinsey (LeRoy) and 5 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Silver Lake United Methodist Church with burial following in the Silver Lake Cemetery.
