MRS. CAROLYN JEAN CARROLL BURGESS, age, 64, of LaFayette passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015.
Carolyn was born on October 18, 1950 to the late William and Mattie Harris Carroll.
She is a member of the Foster Mill Drive Baptist Church and an employee of the Roper Corp. for 30 years.
Also preceded in death by her husband Donald Burgess; sisters Willie Carroll and Kathy Mitchell; and brother Ronnie Carroll.
Survived by one son and daughter-in-law Donald Ray Burgess II and his wife Shelbi; granddaughter Cecily Burgess all of LaFayette; sister Sharon Carroll of LaFayette; brothers and sisters-in-law Larry (Angie) Carroll of Ringgold, Edward (Kathy) Carroll and Robert (Nancy) Carroll all of LaFayette; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral from the Foster Mill Drive Baptist Church Monday, Jan. 26 at 4:00 P.M. with Rev. Ronnie Pettyjohn.
Interment in the Community Baptist Church Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M.
